Born in Vilna (Lithuanian province, Russian Empire, now Lithuania).

Studied painting and sculpture at the Imperial Vilnius University (teachers: Jan Rustem, Joseph Sanders, Kazimir Yelsky).

1822

Wrote studies on the frescoes of Troki Castle.

1823-1829

He continued his studies at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg.

1823

For drawings from nature, performed during the exam, he received a silver medal of the second denomination.

1824

He was awarded a silver medal of the second dignity.

1825

He was awarded the silver medal of the first dignity.

1827

The Council of the Academy of Arts accepted for the competition to receive a gold medal and the work presented by Smokovsky "Death of Epaminondas during the victory he won over the Lacedaemonians."

1829-1832

He taught fine arts at Vilna University at the invitation of Jan Rustem.

1836

He graduated from the Vilna Medical and Surgical Academy, received the specialty of a doctor and worked in the vicinity of Sventsyan (Lithuania).

1841-1856

He worked as a city doctor in Warsaw.

1858

He moved to the village of Krykyany, Sventsyansky district (now Krikonis, Ignalina region, Lithuania).

February 13, 1876

He died in the village of Krykyany (Lithuania).
