Born in the village of Kurenets, Vileika district, Minsk region.

1955—1960

He studies in the sculpture department at the Minsk Art School.

Since 1960

He studies at the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute in the sculpture department, under the guidance of A. Bembel and A. Glebov. Participates in several All-Union competitions.

1965

Creates a project for the memorial complex “Brest Hero Fortress”, for which he received an honorable mention.

1967

Takes first place in the competition to create a project for a memorial complex dedicated to the 28 Panfilov heroes for Almaty together with sculptor V. Andryushchenko. The memorial was opened in 1975.

Since 1966

Teaches at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

1999

Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus.

2005

Professor of the Department of Sculpture of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

2009

Francis Skaryna Medal.

2013

Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.
