"I finished the work that I started before the war.

For me, this fuck-up started with one perhaps inconspicuous episode. Remember the painted eyes in the work of Malevich's student Anna Leporskaya? The guard, "seriously wounded" on the Chechen fronts, damaged the work on his first day of work. He did it right at the exhibition in the Yeltsin Center.

I watched this story unfold and how literally in a week it was transformed from an act of vandalism into a joke. Hee-hee ha-ha - the work even got better!

I started painting a canvas, but couldn't make progress for a long time, and it seemed like I was doing some kind of pop! Anyone who has mastered Photoshop can cross Leporskaya with Munch.

Artists are terribly afraid of being superficial, shallow. How stupid it all is! Even shitty art doesn't kill anyone.

And the other day I came up with the name "Witnesses of the Apocalypse" and everything fell into place!

These are the four horsemen. And they have their eyes painted on for a reason. Each of us must see everything with our own eyes!"
