Born in Vienna (Austria-Hungary, now Austria) in a family of workers.

Before 1924

He was brought up in an orphanage, where he learned to draw.

1936-1940

He studied at the Vitebsk Folk Art School under I. Akhremchik and L. Leitman.

1941

With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War , he was sent to Kemerovo. He worked as the head of the construction column, assistant to the head of the construction and installation part of the Galovboeprypasbud of the USSR. Became one of the organizers of the Kemerovo branch of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR.

From 1943

Participant of art exhibitions.

1944

After the end of the war, the artist returned to Minsk.
