Artist, musician.

Works with the recombination potential of found footage, using audio and video materials from personal archives, the deep web, pop culture artifacts, digital garbage, field recordings. In his recent works, he explores the themes of personal and collective memory, the political dimension of sound and silence, various aspects of psychogeography and chontology.

As a musician, he writes tracks and makes mixes/soundscapes under the pseudonyms 40sorok and lostcut. Engaged in musical accompaniment for cinema, theater, performances.

Lives and works in Minsk.

Born in the city of Kalinkovichi (BSSR, today the Republic of Belarus).

2007

Graduated from Belarusian State University with a degree in linguist-translator.

2003–2007

Member of the AIV group (experimental electronics).

Since 2010

Begins to work in the field of multimedia and sound art. The first exhibition is a joint work with the Belarusian photographer Aleksey Naumchik - "Postfilmia" in the NOVA gallery (Minsk). In the future, he often works with Naumchik in a pair, among the joint projects "Passport of the Object", "Minsktransvesna", "Lovestock", etc.

2013

The first digital project of the artist comes out on the site 34mag.net ( "The Beat of Menska" , in collaboration with Naumchik). Later, on the same platform, his other online projects are published: Postfilmia, Gukavy Bar'er, 20:14.

2015–2018

Together with Tanya Artimovich, he is working on a project on rethinking urban history and the politics of memory "Belarus 4'33. City of the Sun Point Zero" . Theatrical performances and pop-up exhibitions within the framework of the project are held at venues in Minsk (TsEKh, Korpus, Studio 67), Brussels (BOZAR Center for Fine Arts), Stuttgart (Akademie Schloss Solitude), etc.

2016

He is one of the curators of the "Other Stories" series of audio documentary projects.

2017

The artist's first solo exhibition "The Past Isn't Over Yet, The Future Hasn't Come" was held at the Ў Modern Art Gallery (Minsk).
