Alena Tolabava

Artist, teacher.

Works in artistic textiles and in the field of hand-drawn paper, creates installations and art objects. In the artist's work, one can notice the influence of neo-constructivism. Her art objects are characterized by monochrome solutions and focus on accents.

In her work, the artist addresses the problem of the metaphorical perception of space, the impossibility of comprehending and measuring it. Also in her works appears the theme of the relationship between the world-man, man-man.

She is a permanent participant of city, regional, republican and international exhibitions, as well as a curator of student exhibitions, competitions and projects.

Lives and works in Vitebsk.
