An artist who works in painting techniques (mainly oils, pastels, watercolors).

She took an active part in the artistic experiments of the Leningrad avant-garde artists of the 1980s and 90s (together with her husband, non-conformist artist Alexander Ovchinnikov), and is engaged in teaching, educational, exhibition and local history activities. Valentina herself characterizes her style as a home-grown Leningrad-Kobrin avant-garde.

Lives and works in Kobrin.
