In the series of works "Ghosts", the artist turns to the post-war destruction and modern landscapes of Minsk and problematizes the official canon of historical memory through the mythology and "traditions" of defeated fascism. Gramovich uses graphic elements of anti-fascist caricatures of Belarusian artists from the wartime publication "Let's crush the fascist hour". These strange, out-of-context elements – the trajectory of the projectile, fragments of explosions and fragments of bodies, hulls of downed planes – remind us of the fear of destruction, of the ruins of Minsk.
