The title of the installation uses the title of a text by Lucian of Samosata. His brief description is a paradoxical praise for the insect. This text was the first time the expression “Don’t make a mountain out of an anthill” or “Don’t make a molehill out of a molehill” was used. The installation objects do exactly the opposite: they show the stages of transformation from a fly to an elephant. Their style is reminiscent of elements of Soviet petty-bourgeois kitsch: elephant figures on a lace napkin. 3D printing and laser cutting were used to create the objects.
