Ad Reinhardt’s statement: “There is just one painting” (Orig. There is just one painting. Art-as-Art Dogma, Part XII. Artforum NY, 1966), was broadcast every 15 minutes through the sound system of the Trinity Church (Trinitatiskirche) in Cologne. The installation took place in the church and made use of its loudspeakers in order to place this radical text about art within the context of sacred space. Dogmatism of art is therefore juxtaposed with that of religion.
