MAN-MONTH

Maxim Sarychau 2012 – 2014

Being incorporated into the capitalist system, we consciously turn into a unified human resource with specified value. We sell our skills, energy, talent and most valuable and limited resource called time.

How much of living we lose during 8 working man-hours*?  And during one week or month?

Our lives are priceless, but the cost per one person-year is easy to calculate, the same as each lost unit of vision.

These photos were taken via webcam during working conferences in which I participated. This project reminds about missed moments, which I wouldn’t like to have.

* Man-hour — actual measure of worked hours, a unit of working time calculation in production tasks.
