Graphic artist, teacher.

One of the founders of the school of modern Belarusian graphics and a master of book illustration. In his work he experimented, using the wide possibilities of graphic techniques of linocut, etching, drypoint, original graphics.

For many years he taught at the graphics department at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

He is a People's Artist of Belarus.

Lived and worked in Minsk.

Born in Minsk to the family of an employee. During the Great Patriotic War he was evacuated in Saratov.

1953

He graduated from the Minsk Art College (now the Minsk State Art College named after Glebov), then continued his studies at the graphics department of the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (Belarusian State Academy of Arts). Graduation work - illustrations for the novel by the Icelandic author Halldor Laksness "Nuclear Plant".

1959-1969

He taught at the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute.

He joined the Belarusian Union of Artists .

1959

Since that time he actively participated in art exhibitions .

1973

He was awarded the honorary title "People's Artist of the BSSR" .

August 26, 2013

He died in Minsk. Buried in East Cemetery.
