Article 81 is an artistic exploration of the intersection berween law, power, and depersonalisation. The project transforms open-source images of Belarusian judges published online into abstracted, anonymised portraits through graphic processing and intentional cropping. By shifting the focus from individual judges to the judical system's mechanisms, the work highlights the eerie automation of autoritarian legal processes. The project's visual language mirrors the fragility and decay of these systems in aesthetics of poor-quality printing and historical referenses to Soviet-era repression. Ultimately, Article 81 serves as a stark reminder of how unchallenged laws and authoritarian rule can erode societal freedoms and human identity.
