Social Grid is based on the idea of plexus of social matrices/structures that subordinate certain practices of an individual. The superposition of different matrices produces certain subjectivity, referring to Max Weber's "iron cage”. The Artist’s work with the theme of the grid and the metaphor, showing different mechanisms of subjectivation in the digital environment of social networks, state ideology, family relationships and art history.

The structure of the exposition reflects the main metaphor, where all the presented works are "squeezed" into the lined grid structure in the exhibition hall’s centre. It makes possible to reveal the emptiness of the gallery space as an even larger cage surrounding us.
