George Skrypnichenko

1940 – 2015

Painter.

He was one of the first representatives of Belarusian surrealism. For the period in which the artist worked, his works were bold and outrageous, abundantly saturated with decorative elements and combining paradoxical forms on the verge of fantasy and reality. Often, the artist's work caused criticism in the academic art community.

To date, the artist's paintings are kept in private collections around the world, including the collection of NATO headquarters.

Lived and worked in Minsk.
