Foundation about itself:

As a non-profit foundation based in Berlin, we work internationally to promote democracy and civil society participation. To this end, we promote projects in the fields of arts and culture, education and sustainable development, as well as implement them ourselves.

In our activities, we cooperate with civil society initiatives from partner countries and organize educational, consulting and exchange formats. We pay special attention to the creation of transnational sustainable networks.

The founding funds of the foundation are derived from the legacy of the artist and craftsman Ulrich Stross. For most of his life, he lived and worked in a house on the Rönnestraße in Berlin-Charlottenburg, which was bought by his father shortly after World War II—hence the foundation's name. His life conviction in a peaceful and tolerant coexistence should continue to influence our society within the framework of the Foundation's activities.
