Yauheni Hlushan

1988

Yauheni Hlushan born in 1988 in Minsk, Belarus, living in Warsaw since 2022.

He uses analog photography, video, graphics, and installation in his creative practice. The artist wants to draw attention to important themes by realizing his ideas. Common motifs are documenting abandoned places and reflecting on his own perception through the transformation of the surrounding reality. He is interested in the themes of birth, peace, the speed of life, loneliness, loss, and death.

He has no professional art education, he gained knowledge from books, communication with people and his own trial and error. Conducted artistic activities since 2007.

Field of Interest: Analog photography, Alternative Processes, Camera Design, Video shooting, Documentary, Contemporary Art, Visual Art.
