Painter.

Member of the revolutionary platform of the Belarusian art reformers, which was founded by the trade union of workers of art, education and the press.

Author of monumental panels on historical themes, graphic series, a number of paintings.

He stood at the origins of the emerging theatrical scenography in Belarus. He was the first in Belarus to introduce the three-dimensional measurement of scenery. He created more than 200 scenery for the performances of the leading Belarusian theaters. The artist gave preference to fake models, stylized costumes. Worked with many famous theater directors. Designed ballet performances.

The title of People's Artist of the BSSR was awarded.

1941

A couple of days before the start of the war, an exhibition of the artist's works opened in Minsk . The occupiers completely removed Marix's paintings to Germany. To date, not a single painting from the stolen exhibition has been found. The artist's library was also taken out. Part - with bookplates by Marix - returned from Germany during the life of the artist.

1953

He worked as the chief artist of the Grodno Regional Drama Theatre.

1961

Was awarded the title of People's Artist of the BSSR .
