Born in Minsk (BSSR, today the Republic of Belarus) in the family of an accountant of the Western Railway forwarding office Vasily Ilyich and a midwife Zinaida Petrovna Baranovsky.

1958

He graduated from the Minsk Art College (now the Minsk State Art College named after Glebov).

1959-1965

He founded an art studio in the Palace of Culture of the Minsk Tractor Plant.

He studied at the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts).

1965

Since that time he participated in art exhibitions .

1966-2007

He was a teacher at the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute.

1973

He joined the Belarusian Union of Artists .

1987

The academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Monumental and Decorative Art was awarded.

1997

Awarded the academic title of professor .

2012

Was awarded the title of People's Artist of Belarus .

January 31, 2017

Died in Minsk. He was buried in Minsk at the Eastern Cemetery.
