The performance took place in National center for contemporary art during the opening of the exhibition of the deputy director of the institution. The event gathered many highly ranked managers and experts of official art scene. The pile of potato was thrown down in front of the speakers like a gift and kind of a comic gratitude. Potato is an archetype of Belarusian tradition, the core of peasant economy and the base of local cuisine. Such image creates a contrast with a pathetic official culture scene that pretends to be contemporary. Lasunak is a type of potato widely used in Belarusian farming.
