New in INDEX: META, Mironova, Belarusian avant-garde and others

We will be publishing the most significant expansions of our INDEX encyclopedia. In this part, members of the photographic group META, a selection of works by Vital Charnabrysau and others from the archives of Volha Arkhipava, documents of Lenina Mironova, as well as an expansion of the portfolio of various artists.

META

A retrospective exhibition of the photography group META called "Transformation. Metarealism in Belarusian Photography in the 1980s–1990s " recently opened. The exhibition was also duplicated in an online format, which gave us the opportunity to transfer the generous archives of the band to our resource. Now you can get acquainted with the photos of all three team members – they are Viktor Kalenik , Alexey Trufanov , Alexandr Ugljanitsa .

Moskaleva and Shakhlevich

As part of the study of the Minsk School of Creative Photography phenomenon and in honor of the restoration of the essay on the photo-collage series Madhouse, we have expanded the portfolio of Galina Moskaleva and Vladimir Shakhlevich on the website.

Mironova

In 2022, Professor Lenina Mironova was gone. We have restored her documents and works from her closed website on the platform.

Belarusian avant-garde

We continue cooperation with the art critic Volha Arkhipava and her project Belarusian avant-garde , thanks to which we have built into the portal generous archives of works by Vital Charnabrysau , Vladimir Lappo , Alexey Zhdanov and works and collections by Andrey Plesanov .
