The exhibition "Na pamiežžach" proceeds from the concept of border territories filled with tension and pressure, where Belarusian identity is formed. This suspended "in-between" teaches the art of survival and the practice of border solidarity.
The art presented at the exhibition confronts the rifts in the geopolitical space: the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, forced migration, and also addresses older events, the traces of which are still felt today.
"Na pamiežžach" creates a space for drawing attention to the complex structures of modernity — a space in which borderland art becomes both a testimony and a tool for critically reflecting on the fate of individuals and communities at the intersection of cultures, languages, and political systems in Central and Eastern Europe.
