He is famous for his neo-baroque monumental sculptures and installations, which refer both nostalgically and ironically to historical quotes, to the tradition of the “Potemkin village” and ideal simulation, which largely reflects the spirit of postmodern neohistoricism in Belarusian art of the late 90s. Many of his works, which include kinetic elements and performative practices, become a kind of performance-sculpture, as was the case with Tischfeurwerk (“Table Fireworks”) in 2001, in which he recreated a building model from expensive materials (Haus Fürstenberg, Xanten, Germany). ), in which the exhibition was held, and blew it up at the opening of the exhibition, turning the entire space into a fiery smoke firework.
