Elena Kabischer-Jakerson

1905 – 1990

Soviet artist, engaged in painting and graphics.

She studied at the art studio of Pan Yudel Moiseevich, where she met her future husband, sculptor and graphic artist David Yakerson. She was engaged in the execution of sculptural, painting and mannequin works for Soviet offices, institutions and shops.

Lived and worked in Moscow.

She studied at the Vitebsk Art College.

She married D. Yakerson and moved to Moscow.

Studied at VKHUTEMAS.

She worked at the State Central Museum of Ethnology, then at the folklore room of the State Academy of Arts.

Started participating in exhibitions.

She worked as an artist in the Moscow branch of the Art Fund of the USSR.

She died in Moscow and was buried at the Vostryakovsky cemetery.
