The free choir was created as a form of protest against the falsification of the presidential elections. The team consists of professional artists - musicians and singers who decided to fight the Belarusian regime using the so-called "musical partisanship".

The political situation in Belarus and the repressions against many members of the choir forced the team to leave Belarus. Currently, the "Free Choir", which has become one of the symbols of the Belarusian revolution of dignity, lives in Warsaw and performs in the capital and other cities of Poland. The choir performs Belarusian songs and hymns. Written over 100 years ago, sometimes forgotten, unknown to the general public, they were heard during the Belarusian protests for the first time. Today, modern composers write works especially for this group. "Free choir" helps the Belarusians themselves, but also the whole world to get to know and understand Belarus more deeply.
