Born in Grodno (BSSR, today the Republic of Belarus).

From 1987 to 1991 he studied at the Minsk Art College. A. Glebova (Minsk, Belarus) with Alla Bliznyuk, Natalia Zaloznaya and Igor Tishin.

From 1991 to 1992 he studied at the Belarusian Academy of Arts, Minsk, Belarus.

In 1992 he took part in the group exhibition Lessons of Bad Art.

From 1998 to 2004 she studied at the Dusseldorf Academy of Arts (class of Gerhard Merz), Dusseldorf, Germany.

In the late 80s and 90s, he was actively involved in actionism and performance art. In 1992, during the organization of the anti-academic exhibition "Lessons of Bad Art" (Minsk, Palace of Arts, curator Igor Tishin), he was expelled from the monumental department of the Belarusian Academy of Arts. Since 1994, he stopped painting under the slogan "No to expressionism" and concentrated on conceptual art, creating objects and installations.

Acts as a curator and organizer of a number of collective exhibitions in Minsk: Liebschaft (Palace of Arts, 1994), "House of Friendship of Peoples" (Belarusian Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries, 1995) and Todesschaft (Sixth Line Gallery, 1997). After the “evacuation” announced at the Todesschaft exhibition, he travels abroad. In 1998, he carried out his last action dedicated to the secularization of art. Together with Maxim Tyminko, he became the curator of the major exhibition ZBOR. Movement of Belarusian Art”, which took place in Kyiv in the spring of 2016 at the IZOLYATSIA Foundation.

He takes part in numerous exhibitions in European countries.

Since 2014, he has been chronicling the events of contemporary Belarusian art abroad for the pARTisan almanac.

Since 2014, he has been a member of the expert council of the ZBOR resource.

Andrey Dureiko is known in Belarus not only as an artist working with form and text, he is also an expert on Belarusian contemporary art, giving lectures and collecting a detailed archive of the activities of Belarusian artists.

After graduating from the department of free art - the class of Gerhard Merz - at the Dusseldorf Academy of Arts, the artist turns to the monumental traditions of modernism. In his work, Andrey Dureiko combines different artistic techniques: from conceptual wall paintings to relief images. At the same time, great importance in the works of Andrey Dureiko is given to space (context) and text, including names and concepts.
